How does an electronic control valve work in a Hydraulic System?

The electronic control valve is a system that consists of multiple components including a flow adjustment valve, actuators, sensors, and digital controllers. There are different types of electric control valves and their working is different and depends on the application in which they are operating. The basic purpose of every control valve designed for these modern times is to create ease for the operator and reduce the unnecessary work load.

The actuators in the electronic control valve are responsible for the opening and closing of the control valve whereas the positioners in the flow valves serve the purpose of controlling the partial closing of these actuators.  The process plant of the control valve has different sorts of control loops that serve the purpose of setting and managing pressure, temperature, flow, and level of the medium at a set range.

The electronic control valve is being used in different kinds of applications and this is all because this equipment can simply make the functioning of a system easier for the operator. Well, there are certain advantages and disadvantages of using the high or low flow valve controllers.

The most common type of electronic control valve is the sliding stem globe and the other one is the angle valve. Both of these flow valve systems are used for multiple purposes and can serve in a variety of applications. One of the most common uses of these valves is in the hydraulic systems which we would, later on, discuss in this post. Use of electronic control valves in the hydraulic systems

Usually flow control solenoid valve is used in the hydraulic system. The electro hydraulic valve serves the main purpose of converting fluid pressure in the system into motion or to a halt in response to the digital signals given by the operator. In this case, you must know that outer power sources are used and signals are received by the controller when a huge amount of force is required to operate in a set pattern. You can see the use of piston type actuators in this kind of system as they are more robust and well designed. 

The electronic control valve is commonly used in the hydraulic brake systems in cars. Today cars are not using the old drum braking systems as it has become outdated and was very much unsafe. Today cars use regulators to manage pressure in the ABS braking systems. This reduces the chances of any losses of fluids and ensures at point brakes. The management of fluids and oils in the valves also ensures that the car doesn’t feel much friction and opposition at the time of brakes as it can damage the front suspension.

You can see the use of electronic flow control valve in hydraulic systems of not only cars but majorly in buses. In fact buses cannot get into motion until and unless the pressure in their hydraulic braking systems is not complete.
